Wired

This is in response to the weekly challenge "Wired" at Illustration Friday. I can see this used as stationary or a funky textile piece. What does it evoke in you?

Wowowowowow! Yes, as you say, a journal cover, a decorator fabric... if it were muted, it could see it as an envelope. Fantastic use of color and shape here. Bravo!

P.S. Zappy, you've never told me your name!

Oh yeah, definitely. Great colors and composition. This could also work well as a sort of template for a painting or collage perhaps.

I imagine this is what the inside of a very fashionable computer must look like.

Evokes that feeling when you have to design something and finally get to where you see everything is in the right place, all is right shape and color. Plus a fashionable circuitboard. Very cool!

bright, vibrant, colourful, retro... it makes me think of a busy street, lots of active movement, vehicles and buildings at a birds eye view.
it would work wonderfully as a print; textiles or paper (a cushion, really insane curtains?! or a journal cover?!)

:-)
